How Does the FMA Help You Practice Medicine? We maintain a strong state legislative presence aimed at protecting and strengthening the economic viability of medical practices in Florida. We offer free online CME, including the state-mandated courses for Florida allopathic licensure. Working in conjunction with the Leadership Development Institute at the University of Florida, the FMA Foundation has developed a customized, 10-month emerging leader program designed specifically to train physicians on the fundamentals of leadership. We work with regulatory agencies, such as the Department of Health and AHCA, to help physicians in executive and legislative arenas, and to reduce the administrative burdens on physicians and their office staff. The FMA saves physician members time and money through a variety of discount programs. We keep our members informed about the changing landscape of medicine through our award-winning, quarterly publication, Florida Medical Magazine, and more! We are available to provide you and your staff with practice management information regarding reimbursement issues and coding assistance. The FMA's Career Center is designed to help connect our job-seeking members with new employment opportunities and also provide a place for employers to post job openings. We provide members with a detailed road map so that they can make the transition to ICD-10 smoothly and successfully.
